Job Description

Education: Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Planning & Scheduling:

  • Maintain crew rotation plans for assigned vessels.
  • Coordinate timely crew changes in line with vessel schedules and operational requirements.
  • Ensure crew matrix compliance based on vessel flag/state and client requirements.

Recruitment & Manning:

  • Liaise with manning agents and internal teams for the recruitment of qualified crew.
  • Verify crew qualifications, certifications, and experience.
  • Participate in interviews, screening, and selection of officers and ratings.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure crew certification and travel documentation are up to date and compliant with STCW, MLC, ISM, and flag state regulations.
  • Monitor visa and medical certificate validity and arrange renewals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate crew records and databases.
  • Prepare resume in client required format.

Logistics & Coordination:

  • Organize travel, visa, and accommodation arrangements for crew movements.
  • Coordinate with port agents, travel agents, and other third parties to facilitate smooth crew changes.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of joining instructions and documentation to crew.

Welfare & Performance Monitoring:

  • Support crew welfare by ensuring proper communication, feedback, and support channels.
  • Handle crew grievances in coordination with Technical Superintendent.
  • Monitor crew performance and assist in appraisal processes.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Monitor crewing costs and propose cost-effective crew change solutions.
  • Support in preparing crewing budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in a similar marine crewing role, preferably within a ship management or manning agency environment.
  • Familiar with international maritime regulations (STCW, MLC 2006, ISM).
  • Understanding of crew documentation, visas, and travel logistics.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and crewing software
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
