Description
The main purpose of the Credit Controller role is to handle the collections activities of large commercial accounts with outstanding invoices. You will be responsible for initiating contact with customers to collect cash on unpaid invoices, building trust and confidence with customers, and acting as their advocate when issues are raised. Your role will involve meeting defined key performance targets, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and processes, and liaising with internal and external individuals to resolve billing disputes and queries. Additionally, you will form relationships with key collaborators in Finance, Sales, and Operations, take ownership of actions from debt and provision meetings, and identify accounts that require special attention to resolve issues effectively. To qualify for this role, you must have excellent ability to speak and write in English, be highly motivated and task-oriented to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proven customer service experience, ideally working with large international clients, is desired along with demonstrated success in handling accounts receivable and resolving billing issues. You should be able to work under pressure, driven to achieve targets, possess excellent interpersonal skills with high attention to detail, and have the ability to set and handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel is required, and having 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is necessary, with financial services proven experience being desirable. Knowledge of the German language (Read, Write, Speak) would be an added advantage.
