Job Description

As a Credit Collection Executive for Patient Financial Services at Medtronic, you will be responsible for various aspects of billing, credit, and collection activities in the Diabetes Care center in Pune, India. Your main objective will be to maximize cash flow and minimize DSO within Patient Financial Services while providing customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Perform collection activities including rebilling, appeals, and recovery activities for denied or short-paid claims - Analyze and problem-solve account issues to full resolution - Manage internal and external customer inquiries regarding account status and history - Recommend and initiate bad debt write-off procedures for deemed uncollectable claims/accounts - Enter data into computer systems using defined resources and programs - Compile data and prepare various reports - Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in business or accounting major preferred - 1 to 2 years of Insurance Collections experience in a US healthcare environment - Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks to completion within allotted time - Experience with medical billing and collections terminology (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding) - Previous experience in receiving and making outbound calls to patients regarding insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities As a Credit Collection Executive at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in the revenue cycle and company-wide fiscal impact by executing on departmental objectives. Your contributions will directly impact the operations of the Diabetes Operating Unit and contribute to improving the lives of individuals within the global diabetes community.
