Credit Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our Credit Analysis team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating financial data, assessing creditworthiness, preparing credit appraisal notes, and recommending credit decisions for lending proposals across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements of prospective clients.

Conduct thorough due diligence and industry analysis to assess borrowers credit profile.

Prepare credit appraisal memos with a strong focus on financial ratios, credit history, business model, and repayment capacity.

Recommend credit limits and structure loan terms based on risk assessment.

Monitor portfolio performance and conduct periodic reviews of existing borrowers.

Liaise with the sales and legal teams for end-to-end credit processing.

Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements (RBI, etc.).

Assist in developing or updating risk rating models and credit scoring methodologies.

Participate in credit committee discussions and present appraisal findings.

Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.

03 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably in NBFC, banks, or rating agencies.

Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and ratio analysis.

Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes
Prior experience in an NBFC or financial institution.

Exposure to credit appraisal for SMEs, corporates, or retail borrowers.

Familiarity with credit bureau reports and CAM (Credit Appraisal Memo) preparation.
