Creative Technologist

About the Role:

Emagine India is looking for a hands-on, creative, and solution-driven Mechatronics Engineer to join our design and fabrication team. This role will bridge the gap between engineering and visual communication, helping us bring interactive, kinetic, and automated signage/display concepts to life.

You will work closely with designers, fabricators, and project managers to prototype, test, and implement real-world installations that combine mechanics, electronics, and programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electro-mechanical systems for display units and custom installations.
• Build prototypes using sensors, motors, controllers (Arduino/Raspberry Pi), etc.
• Integrate automation and interactivity into signage and environmental graphics.
• Collaborate with creative teams to develop feasible technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, iterate, and refine concepts from idea to final implementation.
• Source components and work with vendors when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, or related field.
• Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Understanding of motors, actuators, sensors, and basic circuit design.
• Basic programming knowledge (Arduino IDE, Python, or C++).
• Strong problem-solving attitude and willingness to experiment.
• Ability to work hands-on with tools and prototypes.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Experience in fabrication, 3D printing, or prototyping.
• Knowledge of CAD design (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Interest in kinetic art, interactive installations, or creative tech.
