Must-Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Don’t have a GED? We’ll help you earn it through our fully-paid GED Works program!
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Basic math and communication skills
• Ability to work well with team members
• Ability to follow and give instructions
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation (see below)
  

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of various types of scrap metal
• Previous experience operating a mobile crane
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort scrap materials by type and quality
• Load trucks and railcars using Ecrane or crawler cranes
• Load balers with sorted scrap for processing
• Relocate crane equipment throughout the yard
• Clean out spreads and maintain material flow
• Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  

Physical Requirements:

• Constant sitting
• Occasional pushing/pulling
• Minimal standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and reaching
• Ability to meet physical demands outlined in the Job Analysis Database
