Role Summary:

The Proposal & Costing Engineer is a critical technical and commercial link between the sales team and the factory. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, technically sound, and competitive proposals for our industrial gearboxes and components. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

l Technical and Costing Proposals:

l Serve as the primary point of contact for Requests for Quotation from the sales team.

l Perform necessary technical calculation to provide appropriate solution's for

l industrial gearboxes, especially helical and bevel-helical types.

l Create detailed and accurate price and technical offers for gearboxes, spares, and accessories.

l Handle a high volume of offers under pressure while adhering to established company processes.

Customer and Internal Collaboration:

l Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical clarifications.

l Collaborate with internal teams, including Purchase, Production, Testings, and Logistics, to ensure proposals are feasible and accurate.

l Address technical queries and provide support to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the ensure order lifecycle.

Post-Order Support:

l Prepare layout drawings and other technical documentation as required once an order is confirmed.

l Clarify any doubts related to the order for internal departments and the customer.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualification:

Experience:

Technical Knowledge:

l A must-have working knowledge of industrial gearboxes, with a specific focus on

l helical and bevel-helical gearboxes.

l Strong understanding of technical calculation related to gearbox design and

l application.

Software Proficiency:

• Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with business and engineering tools like SAP and Teamcenter is a plus.
