Costing Engineer (Electrical & Electronic)

As a Sourcing and Costing Engineer specializing in Electrical & Electronic Components, your role involves the following key responsibilities: - Specialist in Zero Based Costing for Automotive Lighting, Display & Infotainment Parts, PCBA, Bare PCB, HV/LV harness, Motor, Electrical Vehicle Parts - Making Electrical and Electronics part cost estimation based on specifications - Generating cost optimization ideas based on market reference and competitive parts - Utilizing costing software like TcPCM for accurate estimations - Structuring pricing, estimating BOM, and nurturing supplier relationships - Developing sourcing strategies to align with customer requirements - Implementing diverse cost calculation techniques such as Zero-base costing, activity-based costing, directional costing to estimate & budget component prices - Familiarity with import & export incoterms for global operations - Calculating & analyzing landed costs across different global zones - Monitoring parts and materials readiness to meet quality standards - Coordinating logistics and ensuring timely delivery to manufacturing units or job sites - Resolving any issues related to part readiness or dispatch promptly to prevent production delays - Tracking and evaluating supplier performance on key metrics like quality, delivery time, and cost - Conducting regular performance reviews with suppliers and implementing improvement plans as needed - Identifying and suggesting improvements in supplier manufacturing processes and total value chains for enhanced cost-effectiveness - Analyzing and evaluating proposed costs for technical changes, claims related to volume, raw material, etc., challenging the organization based on results Your extensive experience of 6-12 years, along with a B.E. / B. Tech degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Automotive engineering, makes you well-equipped to excel in this role based in Pune.,
