The role of a Cost and Value Engineering Expert based in Pune, India involves being a Global Cost Master and leading improvement and optimization activities in collaboration with innovation, procurement, and operations partners. Your main responsibilities include enhancing competitiveness and profitability of products and services through activities such as product teardown, Benchmarking, Should Cost analysis, and design to value. You should be capable of leading complex Cost Engineering and product introduction projects, driving early supplier involvement, and identifying cost drivers to influence design decision making for achieving target costing. Additionally, you will be supporting engineering and commodity teams to enhance supplier productivity and establishing cost and value engineering as a key process across the business functions. Moreover, you will be driving the development of a larger Community of Practice on Cost Engineering topics and processes, identifying best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing, and improving current working processes, methods, tools, and standards. Lastly, you will be responsible for managing cost and value engineering projects, providing training, and coaching to the team.,
