As a Cosmetic Product Development Chemist, your role will involve designing, formulating, and optimizing cosmetic and personal care products from concept to commercial manufacturing. You will be responsible for: - Developing and testing innovative cosmetic formulations. - Evaluating raw materials and maintaining supplier relationships. - Conducting lab tests and maintaining documentation. - Performing stability testing, preservative efficacy testing, and quality checks. - Assisting in scaling formulas for mass production. - Researching industry trends, technologies, and consumer needs. - Ensuring compliance with cosmetic regulations applicable to target markets. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field. - 2-5 years of experience in cosmetic or personal care formulation. - Hands-on experience in emulsions, gels, serums, cleansers, haircare, or skincare formulations. - Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and raw material safety. Preferred qualifications include: - Certification/diploma in cosmetic formulation. - Experience in clean/organic beauty formulations. - Experience in cost optimization and stability improvement.
