Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer with 3–4 years of experience to manage the

legal, contractual, and compliance-related responsibilities of our construction material distribution

business. The candidate will play a key role in contract drafting, dispute management, regulatory

compliance, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Management:

i) Draft, review, and negotiate dealer agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, transport

logistics agreements, MOUs, and service contracts.

ii) Ensure all contracts align with business objectives and protect company interests.

iii) Maintain and update a structured contract repository.

2) Compliance & Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with-

i) Companies Act

ii) GST & tax regulations

iii) Commercial & contract laws

iv) MSME & labour regulations

v) Environmental/safety norms (where applicable)

vi) Conduct statutory filings, licenses, registrations, and compliance documentation.

3) Corporate Governance: Assist in creating and updating internal policies: HR, procurement,

compliance manual, etc.

4) Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

i) Handle disputes involving dealers, vendors, transporters, and clients.

ii) Serving Notices to respective parties on behalf of the company

iii) Coordinate with external legal counsel on arbitration, recovery cases, and civil matters.

iv) Draft legal notices, replies, and assist in settlement strategies.

5) Risk Management:

i) Identify legal and operational risks across business activities.

ii) Provide preventive legal advice and suggest mitigation strategies.

6) Business & Commercial Support

i) Provide legal inputs for new dealerships, expansion projects, tenders, and business

negotiations.

ii) Support finance teams in cheque bounce matters, payment recovery issues, and

compliance.

Skills & Qualifications

Education:

LLB (mandatory); LLM preferred.

Experience:

7–8 years of experience in corporate/commercial law; preference for candidates with exposure to

construction materials, steel, cement, or distribution industries.

Skills:

1) Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.

2) Strong understanding of contracts, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.

3) Ability to coordinate across teams: sales, finance, procurement, operations.

4) Strong communication skills, professionalism, and integrity.

Compensation: ₹6–12 LPA (based on qualifications, experience & capabilities).
