Controls Software Engineer

As a Controls Software Engineer at Impaqt Robotics, you will play a crucial role in the Engineering Controls & Automation team based in Chennai, India. With a focus on robotics, automation, and machine vision systems, you will contribute to the development of innovative products such as the cobotizur palletizing platform and future EOAT tools. Your responsibilities will involve PLC and HMI development, software programming in Python, JavaScript, or Java, troubleshooting software-hardware interactions, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and showcasing technical expertise during customer demos and installations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead PLC and HMI development for the products - Contribute to Python, JavaScript, or Java-based automation software - Troubleshoot and debug software-hardware interactions in test setups - Guide junior engineers and streamline QC and installation processes - Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams on product development - Represent technical expertise during customer demos and installations Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechatronics, Robotics, CS, or EEE - 3+ years of experience in controls, automation, or robotics - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java) - Experience with collaborative robot platforms like Universal Robots is advantageous - Familiarity with RS-485, Modbus, digital IOs, and pneumatic control systems - Strong plus: Experience with vision systems,
