Controllers - Controllers Independent Review Group - Associate - Bengaluru

As a Controller at Goldman Sachs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the firm meets all financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated, and public financial institution. Your responsibilities will include measuring the profitability and risks associated with various aspects of the firm's business and ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with regulations governing transactions in the financial markets. Key Responsibilities: - Develop an understanding of the firm's regulatory reporting requirements, including Capital Planning processes and controls supporting the reporting process and systems - Conduct independent reviews of various regulatory reports filed by the Firm, verifying regulatory instructions, data accuracy/aggregation, and reporting compliance - Assess the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls - Raise action items and validate remediation plans independently - Provide effective challenge of stakeholder processes and outcomes - Liaise across relevant business and technology teams to prioritize risks, challenge decisions, assumptions, and drive appropriate risk response - Develop and maintain effective and constructive stakeholder relationships Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountants/Certified Public Accountant/equivalent degree with 3-6 years of experience - Public or internal audit experience with exposure in the Financial Services sector - Quality Assurance experience - Understanding of U.S. Regulatory Reporting At Goldman Sachs, we are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our workplace and beyond, offering opportunities for professional and personal growth.
