Role Overview: As a Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility is to maintain meticulous and precise records of all financial transactions within the company. You will be entrusted with the accurate financial recordkeeping, general ledger management, financial reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax compliance support. Your expertise in accounting software is crucial for efficient data entry and management. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records of all transactions, including income, expenses, and other financial activities - Carefully manage the general ledger to ensure it is well-organized and consistently updated - Conduct rigorous financial record reconciliation by comparing statements with bank records and resolving discrepancies promptly - Prepare comprehensive financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Collaborate with accountants to ensure tax compliance and timely preparation of financial records for tax purposes - Utilize accounting software proficiently for efficient data entry and management Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant preferred - Bachelors or master's degree in Commerce/Finance or equivalent - 2-3 years of product management experience, preferably in a fintech organization - Expertise in handling the Xero tool would be an added advantage - Ability to break down complex problems, identify use cases and solutions in a fast-paced environment - Nuanced understanding of data, software engineering, and business processes - Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills - Demonstrated accountability, high standards, and a go-getter attitude Additional Company Details: The company values accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
