Control and Design Engineer / Deputy Manager & Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Preparing control panel specification for the machine.
• Preparing control logic for the complete machine.
• Develop real-time control system software for automated assembly systems, including the programming of PLCs, Servo Controllers, Robots and Vision Systems.
• Design and development of new control systems; testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems.
• Develop human machine interfaces (HMI) using commercially available industrial products, custom GUIs written in Visual Basic or Visual C++, LabVIEW.
• Work with mechanical and electrical designers to ensure the control system will meet performance, reliability and functionality requirements.
• Perform on site commissioning and start up by demonstrating systems capability once the equipment has been shipped to the customers site.
• Design PLC programs specific to customer and project requirements based on standard programming methods.
• Debug and commissions PLC programs on the shop floor during systems integration stage and then on the customers site during installation.
• Developing software systems for localization, object detection & tracking and control of the robot.
• Create, optimize and debug of Robot Programs and IR-Vision Applications.
• Conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of robotic mechanisms, components and systems.
• Programming complex robotics systems.
• Evaluating and calibrating systems for maximum efficiency.
• Troubleshooting robotics systems and applications.
• Install systems, attachments, upgrades and retrofits on machines.
• Change procedures, instructions or operating parameters to enhance process.
• Suggest to other departments to enhance performance.
• Discipline and promote cross functional team members.
• Develop and execute automated manufacturing cells.

Roles and Responsibility: Senior Controls Engineer

• Preparing control panel specification.

• Prepare electrical load list tor the complete machine.
• Prepare cable schedule for field wiring.
• Develop real-time control system software for automated assembly systems, including the programming of PLCs, Servo Controllers, Robots and Vision Systems.
• Create, optimize and debug of Robot Programs and IR-Vision Applications.
• Documenting robotic application development, maintenance, or changes
• Conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of robotic mechanisms, components and systems.
• Programming complex robotics systems.
• Evaluating and calibrating systems for maximum efficiency.
• Troubleshooting robotics systems and applications.
• Design and development of new control systems; testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, specializing in electronics electrical or controls technology.

• Experience:

  Minimum two to nine years of programming and troubleshooting experience with PLC hardware, and programming software, preferably in an industrial automation environment
