Job Description

Senior Contracts Engineer is responsible for compiling contract documents and maintaining the records of the same.

1. Responsibilities / Deliverables:

  • Compiling Contract Documents as per scope of work.
  • Identifying new Contractors by various channels & by own contractor bank and prepare and maintain Contractor/Consultant Master Data sheet with respect to gradation for every six months.
  • Getting quotations and preparing comparative statements.
  • Maintaining contractors performance evaluation records and updating the same every six months.
  • Development of analytical skills & knowledge of contract through self-learning & experience.
  • Collecting data for contract document from estimation dept., D & D dept. and site execution team.
  • Inserting relevant information in contract document.
  • Maintaining records of contract documents/work orders.
  • Getting quotations from contractors & making comparative statements.
  • Maintaining & gradation of contractor's performance record for every six months.
  • Getting a correct data of contractors from various sources like internet, personal meetings and references.
  • Updation of present data sheet every month.
  • Collection & Recording of data from site regarding contractors performance.
  • As per contractor’s performance form sending letter to them.
  • Getting contractors requisition form from each site in every month.
  • Exploring contractors from master data sheet and getting quotation and making comparative statements.
  • Sending a formal letters to contractors regarding site performance.
  • Attending negotiation meetings with senior.
  • Enroll for suitable certification program.
  • Attend various trainings as and when available.

2. Measurement Metrics:

  • Number of Floating enquiries for getting quotes from various vendors.
  • Number of contracts Completed within time.
  • Number & Value of Work Order (in Cr.)
  • Number of Contractors awarded below Budgeted Price
  • Number of New Appointment of Contractors/Vendors
  • Prepare & Update List of vendors/suppliers and maintaining the record of all contracts
  • Number of contractors appointed within company standard rates.

3. Competencies:

  • Ability to manage end-to-end Contractual Work Efficiently
  • Awareness of contracts procedure & selection criteria of contractor. Basic of Contracts Procedure for Supplier & Contractor.
  • Current Market Rates
  • All compliance documents for agreements
  • Site Execution
  • Proficiency in ERP, Excel, Word, Autocad

4. Technical Skills:

  • Drawing study, Rate Analysis, Analytical skills, positively primary negotiation with contractors.
  • Good Time Management.
  • Good Co-ordination between team members, Team work.
  • Good & Clear Communication, humble in nature, self initiative, Positive Attitude towards work, Honesty.
