Contract Logistics Shift Leader

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end warehousing operations for customers, contributing to the success of your team and the day-to-day operations of warehouse and distribution centers. Your role involves storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations, making a significant impact beyond what you may imagine. Your main responsibilities will include leading an operational team to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse. This will involve managing, planning, organizing, staffing, and directing warehouse activities while attending to HR issues such as absence, attendance, and sick leave. You will be required to assess workloads within the team, allocate resources adequately on a daily basis, and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) in management, productivity, and customer service are achieved. Additionally, you will oversee the responsible handling and operation of company equipment and assets, as well as ensure team members comply with Health and Safety policies at all times. To qualify for this role, you should have a graduation in any stream, 5-7 years of professional experience in the contract logistics industry, and good knowledge of warehouse management systems and MS Office programs. Experience in leading a team, empathetic interaction with colleagues, a strong understanding of warehouse processes, personal responsibility, commitment, flexibility regarding working hours, and good spoken and written English communication skills are also required.
