Chebel is a café and patisserie located in JP Nagar, Bengaluru - known for its Italian-inspired pasta bar, signature coffees, and an indulgent range of artisanal desserts. On weekends, we serve an extensive breakfast menu that celebrates comfort and craft. Our patisserie specializes in custom bespoke cakes , entremets, celebration cakes for every occasion and a curated selection of fine desserts.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Hot Kitchen Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing continental cuisine, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and working efficiently in a fast-paced café/kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute continental hot kitchen dishes as per standardized recipes
• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
• Manage daily prep, cooking, and service operations for the hot kitchen section
• Maintain food quality, freshness, and hygiene at all times
• Follow FSSAI and kitchen safety standards strictly
• Coordinate with the Head Chef / CDP for menu execution and daily requirements
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Minimize wastage and report inventory requirements on time
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
• Support team members during peak hours and service rush

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Continental / Hot Kitchen Chef
• Good knowledge of continental cuisine techniques and plating
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
• Basic understanding of kitchen inventory and hygiene practices
• Punctual, disciplined, and professionally groomed.
