Content Specialist

Main Duties & Scope of the role

We are looking for someone with a writers instinct and a sharp eye for clarity. As the Content Specialist, you will focus on producing long-form content that builds trust, drives traffic, and supports key marketing campaigns. You should also be comfortable switching gears to craft short-form copy that is crisp, persuasive, and tailored for digital platforms.

This role reports to the Content Manager and involves working closely with subject matter experts, both internally and externally, to develop content that is accurate, engaging, and easy to discover. Youll be expected to stay informed about how generative AI is reshaping the search landscape. As platforms move toward answer-led experiences, youll need to adapt how content is structured, written, and optimized for visibility. This includes reprioritizing traditional SEO tactics to match how users now discover and engage with information. Your writing should help close content gaps, meet audience intent, and support organic growth with clarity, relevance, and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of long-form content including blogs, lead magnets, guides, and editorial assets
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to inform and strengthen written content
• Write across formats with clarity, adapting content for channel, audience, and performance
• Optimise content for search and AI crawlability through structure and clarity.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, audience behaviour, and emerging content formats
• Ensure consistency in tone, structure, and storytelling across all long-form content
• Collaborate with our external agency to ensure all content complements broader brand and campaign efforts

Requirements & Qualification

• Extensive experience (4+ years) in long-form content strategy and storytelling
• Proven success in driving traffic, engagement, and inbound performance through blogs and lead magnets
• Clear grasp of AI-driven search trends and evolving Google ranking signals that shape content visibility
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, performance dashboards, and keyword research tools
• Bonus: Experience in education, youth marketing, or thought leadership content
