Chintan is a non-profit Circular Society Do-Tank that improves the lives, livelihoods and leadership of the people who contribute the least to environmental pollution and climate change while combating the excessive and inequitable consumption that causes it. Chintan's actions are rooted in inclusive, science-based policy and research to identify challenges and advocate for changes both within and outside the government. Chintan works to identify intersectional needs and amplify relevant voices.
Chintan is seeking a self-motivated team player to lead an initiative to reduce and mitigate the impact of heat stress on urban poor women in Delhi. This role requires a blend of evidence-based initiative design, managerial skills and lucid communication to ensure that the initiative delivers measurable outcomes.
Lead the overall planning, implementation and monitoring of the project.
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outputs.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align on project goals and timelines.
Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Work with relevant partners to identify key heat related health impacts, as experienced in Delhi hospitals
Work with the medical community to ensure accurate, targeted trainings across the eco-system to meet the objectives
Support Chintan in developing and implementing systems to measure the impact of interventions.
Document learnings and best practices to inform scalable, evidence-based models for reducing heat stress and strengthening community resilience.
5+ years of experience in the subject area, working with low-income communities, project management, action research, preferably in public health, climate resilience, or community-based interventions is essential.
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects.
Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized urban populations, especially women, is highly desirable.
