Consultant Pediatrician

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent diseases and injuries in young patients while ensuring the highest standard of patient care and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of newborns, children, and adolescents.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, infections, and injuries in children.
• Monitor growth and development milestones to identify potential health concerns early.
• Prescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as required.
• Counsel parents or guardians on children’s diet, hygiene, and preventive health practices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patients.
• Collaborate with other specialists and nursing staff for multidisciplinary patient care.
• Respond to pediatric emergencies and provide immediate medical attention.
• Participate in health education programs and awareness campaigns related to child health.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, NABH standards, and infection control protocols.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualification:

• MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
• MD / DNB / Diploma in Pediatrics (mandatory).
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Pediatric practice (hospital or clinic setting preferred).
