Consultant Land Acquisition

Scope of work:

The person will be responsible for delivering and managing all types of permanent and temporary land acquisition and right of user of land acquisition activities in the Region. This role ensures that lands are delivered with all relevant permissions within the set framework and process, supporting business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Land Procurement: Responsible for land procurement under the relevant Land Acquisition Act or through direct lease/purchase, including obtaining relevant permissions and approvals.
• Right of User (ROU): Responsible for ROU of Land acquisition under the Petroleum & Minerals Pipeline Act for cross-country pipeline corridor requirements.
• Site Survey: Conduct site surveys, obtain cadastral details from the revenue department, review drawings, and manage land procurement under the relevant stipulated process.
• Technical Checks: Perform technical checks and modifications as needed for land and ROU acquisition processes, including QA/QC checks for all technical survey reports.
• Revenue Records: Ensure collection of accurate and updated revenue records from the Revenue Authorities.
• Permissions: Obtain and maintain ROW and statutory permissions.
• Liaison: Liaise with government authorities at the state and district levels for obtaining relevant permissions and approvals.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate/Postgraduate with 7 years of exposure to land-related matters, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge of land acquisition and ROU acquisition practices and procedures.
• Strong coordination and liaison skills.
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Local area experience is an added advantage. Fluent in written and spoken English & Hindi; fluency in the local language is an added advantage.
