Construction Manager

Position Title: Construction Manager

Experience: 10 to 12 years

Location: Ahmedabad

Salary: Up to 80,000 per month (based on experience)

Joining: Immediate / ASAP

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Prepare construction schedules, work programs, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors.
• Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, materials, and equipment

2. Site Management & Execution

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to meet project timelines.
• Manage subcontractors and site engineers effectively.

3. Quality Control

• Implement quality control procedures and inspection checklists.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, project specifications, and approved methods.
• Conduct inspections for RCC, finishing, waterproofing, and MEP works.
• Rectify defects and ensure proper workmanship.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce site safety rules and regulations.
• Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and labor laws.
• Maintain safety records and incident reports.

5. Cost Control & Budget Management

• Monitor project costs and control wastage of materials.
• Verify subcontractor bills, measurements, and invoices.
• Coordinate with billing and accounts teams for cost tracking.
• Suggest value engineering solutions to optimize cost.

6. Procurement & Material Management

• Plan and monitor procurement schedules.
• Ensure timely availability of approved materials at site.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for delivery and quality.
• Maintain material consumption and stock records.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain site records such as DPRs, checklists, and inspection reports.
• Update management on project status, risks, and delays.
• Assist in project handover and completion documentation

8. Client & Consultant Coordination

• Attend progress review meetings with clients and consultants.
• Address client queries and implement approved changes.
• Ensure proper communication between all stakeholders.

9. Project Completion & Handover

• Ensure snag-free completion of works.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and approvals.
• Assist in final handover, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• 10 to 12 years of experience in construction management / site execution for real estate or large construction projects
• Strong technical knowledge of civil construction, finishing works, and MEP coordination
• Proven experience in project planning, execution, quality control, safety, and cost management
• Sound understanding of drawings, BOQ, specifications, contracts, and construction standards
• Hands-on experience in subcontractor management, procurement coordination, and billing verification
• Familiarity with QA/QC systems, safety practices, and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to ERP / project management systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
