Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning:

• Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate computer science lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum ([mention curriculum, e.g., CBSE, ICSE, State Board, specific IT courses]).
• Plan and prepare daily/weekly lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies, practical exercises, and interactive activities.
• Cover topics such as basic computer operations, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet safety, coding (e.g., Scratch, Python, HTML), algorithms, data structures, cybersecurity fundamentals, and emerging technologies (AI, Robotics adjust based on curriculum).

• Practical Instruction & Lab Management:

• Provide hands-on practical instruction in the computer lab, guiding students through exercises and projects.
• Ensure the computer lab is well-maintained, organized, and conducive to learning.
• Manage and troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software issues within the lab, or coordinate with IT support for complex problems.
• Ensure proper use and care of computer equipment by students.

• Student Assessment & Development:

• Assess student learning through assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and skill development.
• Identify students who may need additional support or advanced challenges and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

• Digital Literacy & Safety:

• Educate students on digital citizenship, online safety, cyberbullying prevention, and responsible use of technology.
• Promote ethical use of digital resources and intellectual property.

• Curriculum Enhancement & Collaboration:

• Stay updated with the latest trends in computer science education and technology.
• Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate technology across the curriculum.
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development programs.

• Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate student performance and any concerns to parents/guardians and school administration as required.
