Computer Operator

As a Computer Operator at our company, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance. Your proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving will contribute to the efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor computer systems and networks for performance issues, ensuring smooth operations. - Operate and maintain computer hardware and software, performing routine checks and updates. - Troubleshoot hardware and software malfunctions, escalating issues when necessary. - Maintain accurate logs of system performance, incidents, and resolutions for future reference. - Assist in the installation and configuration of new systems or upgrades. - Collaborate with IT staff to implement system improvements and enhancements. - Ensure regular data backups and verify the integrity of backup data. - Follow established protocols for data security and confidentiality. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Computer Operator or similar role is preferred. - Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications. - Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, or Unix is advantageous. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration. - A relevant qualification in IT or Computer Science is beneficial but not mandatory.
