Role Summary:
A Computer Operator monitors and controls computer systems, especially mainframes and servers, ensuring they run efficiently without interruption. They perform routine tasks, troubleshoot issues, and support data processing activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor computer systems and related equipment.
Manage daily scheduled tasks such as data entry, backups, and batch processing.
Identify and report hardware or software malfunctions.
Maintain logs of system activity and errors.
Ensure data security and integrity during processing.
Assist with software installations and updates.
Provide basic support to end users.
Skills Required:
Familiarity with data entry and office software (MS Office).
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow procedures and documentation.
Good communication skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum: 12th pass or Diploma in Computer Applications.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
