Computer Numerical Control Programmer

As a CNC Programmer (PowerMill Specialist) at WINDBRIDGE CONCEPTS PRIVATE LIMITED, the dynamic corporate entity behind the e-commerce brand CanvasChamp, your role will involve developing complex programs for advanced 4-axis, 5-axis, and 7-axis Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers. Your primary focus will be on machining statues, sculptures, or highly complex 3D artistic/organic forms where surface finish and aesthetic flow are critical. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Program Development:** Create, optimize, and simulate complex toolpaths and CNC programs for various machining centers. - **Artistic Form Programming:** Develop efficient toolpaths for statues, complex molds, or artistic surface models while maintaining surface integrity. - **CAD Modeling:** Utilize SolidWorks for reviewing, modifying, and creating CAD models, as well as designing workholding and fixtures. - **Code Generation & Editing:** Generate, post-process, and edit G-code and M-code programs for optimal performance. - **Setup Documentation:** Prepare detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and operational instructions for machine operators. - **Tooling and Strategy:** Select cutting tools and machining strategies to maximize material removal rates and achieve desired finish. - **Simulation & Verification:** Utilize CAM simulation tools to confirm program logic and material removal accuracy. - **Quality Assurance:** Ensure all programs adhere to engineering drawings and quality standards. **Required Qualifications:** - **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years as a CNC Programmer with a focus on multi-axis programming. - **Specialized Experience:** Proven knowledge in creating programs for statues, sculptures, or complex organic shapes. - **Software Expertise:** Proficiency in Autodesk PowerMill, Mastercam, and SolidWorks. - **Technical Knowledge:** Understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC controls. - **Multi-Axis Proficiency:** Ability to program complex rotational motion on 4, 5, and 7-axis machining centers. - **Blueprint Reading:** Exceptional ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in artistic fabrication, prototyping, or mold & die industries. - Familiarity with 3D scanning processes and CAM programming. - Technical Degree or Vocational Certification in related field.
