Compounding - Cables

Role Overview: As the Compounding Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the formulation, production, and quality assurance processes for PVC compounds, XLPE, Semion, ZHLS, and other compounds while ensuring compliance with UL certification standards. You will be managing raw materials, supervising staff, and optimizing production efficiency to meet requirements. Additionally, you will lead a team and collaborate with various departments within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize Compounding formulations to meet specific application requirements. - Conduct trials to enhance material properties such as tensile strength and flexibility. - Manage daily compounding operations to meet production schedules. - Monitor equipment performance to ensure efficiency and productivity. - Implement best practices to minimize waste and maximize yield. - Establish and enforce quality control protocols for raw materials and finished compounds. - Collaborate with the quality team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. - Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of production staff. - Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and company policies. - Select and approve raw materials, coordinating with procurement to maintain inventory levels. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations. - Identify and implement process optimizations to enhance productivity. - Stay updated on technological advancements and industry trends in the polymer field. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 15-20 years of experience in Compounding or a similar role. - Strong knowledge of compounding materials, additives, and processes. - Familiarity with production equipment and quality testing methods. - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. - Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
