Compliance & Banking Relationship Lead

At MEXD Worldwide, you are pivotal in the expansion of a global crypto exchange into India, focusing on trust, transparency, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise in navigating Indian banking systems and compliance frameworks is essential for the success of the operation. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating banking and financial activities such as opening and managing various types of bank accounts with Indian banks, liaising with banking partners, and ensuring timely submission of financial and compliance documents. Collaborating with accountants, auditors, PSPs, and tax consultants is crucial for maintaining financial integrity. As the Compliance Officer, you will oversee regulatory compliance with Indian laws, including obligations set by FIU-IND. Direct interaction with regulatory authorities like FIU, SEBI, and RBI for licensing, filings, and audits is part of your role. Developing and implementing internal compliance policies and procedures across departments is essential to ensure adherence to legal regulations and company policies. Your strategic and governance duties involve advising the Board on compliance risks, regulatory updates, and licensing matters. Keeping company documents, registers, filings, and agreements in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013 is integral to your responsibilities. The ideal candidate possesses over 5 years of experience in fintech, crypto, or finance fields with in-depth knowledge of Indian banking and compliance practices. Fluent communication with regulators and bankers, a proactive attitude towards taking ownership, and a passion for leading initiatives are key attributes we are looking for.
