Community Mobilizer

The Community Mobilizer will support school onboarding, field coordination, community outreach, logistics, and training activities.
The role requires strong engagement skills and the ability to mobilize parents, students, volunteers, and community partners to ensure smooth implementation of SRFs road safety initiatives.

Role & responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Mobilization & Outreach

• Mobilize schools, parents, drivers, student groups, volunteers, and local community members
• Support SRFs communication with school management, teachers, and parent committees
• Coordinate with local enforcement units (Police/RTO) when needed

2. Training & Session Coordination

• Assist in scheduling and organizing student, teacher, and parent sessions
• Manage logistics: venues, seating, projectors, banners, training materials, etc.
• Support SRF trainers during live sessions and ensure smooth flow

3. Field Documentation & M&E Support

• Capture photos, videos, testimonials, and maintain proper documentation logs
• Collect attendance, feedback, and follow-up data
• Assist the Project Coordinator with M&E checklists, geo-tagging, and reporting

4. Community Awareness & Campaign Support

• Organize rallies, wall painting, CRS demonstrations, road-safety awareness drives
• Mobilize students and volunteers for campaigns, school events, and outreach
• Share IEC materials with parents and community members

5. Safe School Zone Support

• Coordinate site readiness during infrastructure installation
• Share required school & community updates with vendors and Project Coordinator
• Support communication with the school about work schedule and safety precautions

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Arts, Mass Communication, or related discipline

Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills

Ability to speak, read, and write Tamil is essential; English is desirable

Comfortable with field travel and interacting with diverse stakeholders
