Job Description

Job Opening: Community Engagement Executive

Location: Sovabazar, Kolkata (Full-Time, In-Person)
Organization: IND (Inspiring Neurodivergent Development)

About IND

IND is a purpose-driven organization dedicated to transforming the lives of neurodivergent children and their families through holistic, home-centered, and heart-based interventions. We combine play-based learning, parent empowerment, therapeutic frameworks, and deep human connection to bring meaningful, measurable change. As we grow, we are building a dynamic team of committed individuals who are not only passionate about service but are also ready to evolve into future leaders in the space of child development, family transformation, and community impact.

Role Overview

As a Community Engagement Executive, you will be the first bridge between IND and families who are seeking answers, support, and guidance. Your job is to engage, understand, respond, and serve—whether through direct messages, phone calls, or social media community interactions.

This role blends empathy, communication, organization, and responsiveness to create a seamless and supportive experience for our prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective families through:
  • One-on-one conversations via calls, WhatsApp, and DMs
  • Active participation in social media groups and online communities
  • Thoughtful responses to comments, queries, and posts
  • Share curated educational resources and direct families to relevant tools, videos, or sessions.
  • Understand and document each family's concerns, challenges, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to ensure their issues are prioritized and addressed promptly.
  • Keep detailed records of interactions and track follow-ups.
  • Be a gentle, trustworthy voice that builds early rapport with parents in a vulnerable phase.

Who This Role Is Ideal For

This role is well-suited to individuals from backgrounds such as:

  • Psychology, Education, Social Work, Communication, or Human Development
  • Former teachers, counselors, early childhood educators, or child development workers
  • Individuals with experience in community outreach, helplines, social media moderation, or parent engagement
  • Anyone who is empathetic, organized, and values meaningful impact

Prior experience is helpful but not essential. More important is the ability to listen, connect, communicate clearly, and follow through with care.

Growth Prospects at IND

At IND, you will be part of a mission-driven, fast-growing team. You will:

  • Receive structured training and mentorship.
  • Contribute directly to meaningful change in families’ lives.
  • Be considered for expanded roles in parent coaching, communications, content creation, or program coordination as we grow.
