You will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, which includes portioning, chopping, and storing food. Your duties will involve washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Following recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists is essential when preparing and cooking food. Additionally, you will be expected to handle the preparation of cold foods and operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Testing foods to ensure proper cooking, monitoring food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work station are also key aspects of the role. Adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and reporting any maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the manager is crucial. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, respecting confidentiality, and communicating effectively with team members are important for fostering positive working relationships and achieving common goals. Ensuring compliance with quality expectations and standards, performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds are part of the job requirements. Flexibility to perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors is also expected. The preferred qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory experience, license, or certification is required for this role.
