Commis Chef - Catering & Events

Role Summary:
The Commis Chef – Catering & Events assists in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes for functions, banquets, and off-site events. This role supports the senior chefs to ensure smooth operations during high-volume service while maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with mise en place for large-scale events (buffets, plated dinners, live counters).
• Support cooking, plating, and portioning according to event menus.
• Pack, transport, and set up food service at event venues when required.
• Maintain quality and presentation standards under time constraints.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow hygiene, HACCP, and safety regulations during on-site and off-site operations.
• Assist with loading and unloading catering equipment for events.
• Help in dismantling, cleaning, and organizing after events.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic culinary skills and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
• Adaptability to changing menus, venues, and service styles.
• Good physical stamina for long hours and event setups.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team.
• Strong understanding of cleanliness and food safety practices.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred).
• Previous experience in banquets, catering, or high-volume kitchens an advantage.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
