Commis 1 (Indian & Tandoor)

Position: Commis I (Commie 1)
Department: Kitchen / Food Production
Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Chef

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking, and plating of food items as per standard recipes
• Work efficiently in the assigned kitchen section (Indian & Tandoor.)
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP)
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils
• Assist in stock rotation, storage, and minimizing food wastage
• Follow instructions from Chef de Partie and senior chefs

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Commis.
• Must have experience in Indian and Tandoor.
