As a team member at Courtyard Raipur, located in Labhandi, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, your primary responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, which includes portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will handle tasks such as washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, and following recipes and quality standards for food preparation. Operating kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers will be part of your daily routine. Your duties will also involve testing foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently, monitoring food quality during preparation, setting up and breaking down workstations, and serving food in proper portions. Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing and disinfecting surfaces and equipment, will be essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking and maintaining the correct temperature of appliances and food. Adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and food preparation guidelines is crucial. Reporting maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions, as well as completing safety training, are part of your responsibilities. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, respecting confidentiality, and communicating effectively with team members and managers are expected behaviors. Developing positive relationships with colleagues, supporting common goals, and responding to concerns appropriately are valued qualities. This full-time position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as performing physical tasks such as reaching, bending, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and other duties as assigned by supervisors. The preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience.
