The responsibilities of a commis chef in a hotel include: hotelandrestaurantacademy.com +2 Providing the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to the hotel guests. Working in the designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef. Organizing the assigned work area and efficiently putting away orders. Preparing and selling food within recommended time frames to meet guest expectations. Assisting the Chef de Partie in accurately measuring meal ingredients, preparing meal ingredients, preparing basic salads and sauces, and receiving deliveries.
