Commercial Real Estate Underwriter - Officer

As an Analyst at Citi within the Real Estate and Structured Credit Underwriting (RESCU) team, you will play a critical role in administering a multi-billion dollar portfolio of real estate and asset securitization transactions. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting comprehensive financial analysis of Commercial Real Estate properties and associated sponsors/borrowers. - Developing and maintaining complex financial models specific to various CRE asset types and transaction structures. - Preparing credit approval request memorandums and conducting projection modeling and stress testing. - Supporting Senior Underwriters in making recommendations/credit decisions and overseeing periodic relationship credit monitoring. - Proactively identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration and preparing executive-level materials summarizing financial analysis and risk assessments. - Ensuring all transactions are in compliance with regulatory and Citi guidelines. To be successful in this role, you should ideally have the following skills and exposure: - 3-6 years of relevant experience in Commercial Real Estate underwriting or credit in the financial services industry. - Strong financial modeling experience in Microsoft Excel. - Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency. - Strong organizational skills and effective interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills. - MBA or CFA or CA qualification.
