Commercial Engineering Lead- Edge & Data, APAC

Role Overview: You will be the Edge & Data Commercial Engineer at Rockwell Automation, responsible for designing Edge to Cloud and Native SaaS applications systems. You will play a key role in the Autonomous Automation initiative in Asia Pacific, promoting the adoption of containerized Edge solutions, AI/ML applications, advanced data analytics, and Industrial DataOps. Your collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams will ensure successful implementation of Rockwell Automation products for customers. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain technical expertise on Rockwell Automation Smart Process products and industrial automation environments - Act as the Asia Pacific regional technical expert, supporting pre-sales customer engagements and system architecture reviews - Create technical documentation, presentations, and tools to enhance salesforce and domain expert effectiveness - Assist in trade shows by developing presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on labs - Conduct customer demonstrations and build data-driven business cases for offer enhancements - Present qualitative and quantitative value of proposed solutions edge to cloud and conduct consultative exploratory pre-sales technology workshops to customers Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience in control system design and customer applications support - Ability to operate across time zones and triage ambiguous problems - Proficiency in JavaScript, C#, and other Web-related development technologies - Familiarity with containerized solutions like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins - Understanding of PI Historian, InfluxDB, and proficient in SQL, PostgreSQL, Industrial DataOps solutions Additional Details of the Company: Rockwell Automation offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes mindfulness programs, volunteer paid time off, employee assistance program, personalized wellbeing programs, and professional development opportunities.
