Job Description

Senior IBM Datacap Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation & Upgrade:

Lead the design and development of new IBM Datacap applications.
Perform version upgrades and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
Migrate Datacap solutions from on-premise to cloud (or hybrid) environments.

Application Support:

Provide L2/L3 support for Datacap applications in production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scanning, OCR, workflows, and integration.
Monitor performance and optimize Datacap processes.

Collaboration & Delivery:

Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
Coordinate with offshore development teams for development and support activities.
Ensure timely delivery of solutions in an agile environment.

Documentation & Best Practices:

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and user guides.
Follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with
IBM Datacap 9.x or higher
.
Expertise in
Datacap Studio
,
Datacap Navigator
,
Datacap Rulerunner
, and
Datacap FastDoc
.
Experience with
OCR engines
(e.g., ABBYY, Nuance) and
image processing
.
Familiarity with
cloud platforms
(IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Proficiency in
.NET

C#
,
JavaScript
, and
SQL
.
Understanding of
document capture workflows
,
batch processing

security models
.
Excellent communication and coordination skills for working in a
