Cobol Developer

As a consultant working directly with Banking client personnel, your role involves supporting the FDIC Sweep program on Agiletics application and other peripheral banking interfaces. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing COBOL programs based on user specifications. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance in solving software problems and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of technical tools for systems development and support. It is important to maintain awareness of technical industry trends, especially as they relate to the client. Key Responsibilities: - Work directly with Banking client personnel to support the FDIC Sweep program on Agiletics application - Analyze, design, and develop COBOL programs based on user specifications - Provide technical assistance in solving software problems - Demonstrate knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to the client Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of programming experience in COBOL applications, preferably in banking - Proficiency in Cobol, CICS, and VSAM - Nice to have skills include Easytrieve, Zeke, Changeman, INSYNC, Dumpmaster, Tracemaster, DB2, MQ, Assembler, SQL, and SoapUI - Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Experience with the FDIC Sweep program is a bonus The company is looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute effectively to the support and development of the FDIC Sweep program and related banking interfaces.,
