The position requires you to work in US Shift timing at the office in Chennai for a 12+ months contract. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with Banking client personnel as a consultant to support the FDIC Sweep program on Agiletics application and other banking interfaces. This involves analyzing, designing, and developing COBOL programs based on user specifications. You will be expected to provide technical assistance in troubleshooting software issues and possess a deep understanding of technical tools for systems development and support. It is essential to stay updated on technical industry trends, particularly those relevant to the client. To excel in this role, you should have 8-10 years of experience in programming COBOL applications, preferably in the banking sector. Proficiency in Cobol, CICS, and VSAM is a must, while familiarity with tools like Easytrieve, Zeke, Changeman, INSYNC, and others listed would be advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for success in this position. Previous experience with the FDIC Sweep program will be considered a bonus.
