Coating Inspector

Role Overview: As a Coating Inspector, your main responsibility will be to inspect surfaces prior to coating to ensure proper preparation such as blasting and cleaning. You will need to monitor coating application processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Additionally, conducting tests like dry film thickness (DFT), adhesion, and holiday detection using appropriate equipment will be a crucial part of your role. Identifying and reporting coating defects such as pinholes, blisters, runs, and sags, maintaining detailed inspection records, and preparing reports for QA/QC documentation will also be your responsibilities. It is important to ensure that all coating activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations. Collaboration with production and QA teams to resolve non-conformities and providing technical input on coating-related matters during project meetings will be required. Keeping yourself updated with the latest coating technologies and inspection practices is essential for this role.
