As the Painting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all painting activities at the project site in the oil & gas sector. Your main objective will be to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, client specifications, and industry regulations. Your key responsibilities will include supervising and managing painting crews, planning daily activities, and ensuring timely completion according to project schedules. You will be required to inspect surface preparation, paint application, and finishing to meet quality and safety standards. Compliance with HSE procedures in hazardous environments is crucial, and you will coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for paint inspection and approval. Maintaining daily progress reports, work permits, and site documentation will be part of your routine tasks. You must ensure the correct use of protective coatings, tools, and equipment, while also conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings for the painting team. Identifying material and equipment requirements, resolving technical or manpower issues, and ensuring productivity are also key aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Diploma/ITI in Painting, Coatings Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in industrial painting/coating works. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the oil & gas sector is required. Knowledge of painting standards and techniques, as well as strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, are essential. HSE awareness and valid safety training certificates are also necessary. Your skills should include the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, proficiency in managing multi-national workforces, attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work under pressure in offshore and onshore environments. This is a full-time position that may require relocation to Qatar. Experience in the oil and gas industry is a requirement for this role.
