Job Title: Assistant Quality Engineer – Fabrication & Quality Supervision Department: Quality Control/Production Location: Polai Kalan,Kota Rajasthan (Factory Location) Reporting To: QA-QC Head / Plant Head Job Summary: We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Quality Engineer to supervise and control the fabrication quality processes, ensuring all work adheres to the relevant IS Codes for girder fabrication. The candidate should have good knowledge of fabrication standards, welding quality, raw material inspection, and fit-up processes. The role involves regular inspections, reporting, and coordination with production to maintain quality at every stage of fabrication. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and Control Fabrication Quality: Monitor all stages of fabrication to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and drawings. Ensure fabrication activities align with IS codes and approved quality procedures. Daily Inspection & Documentation: Conduct and fill daily inspection reports for: Raw material cutting Pre-fit-up and fit-up Welding Final dimensional and quality inspection Report deviations and non-conformities immediately. Drawing and Specification Verification: Cross-check cutting, welding, drilling, and fit-up activities against issued drawings and technical specifications. Ensure dimensional accuracy and alignment during assembly. Report Generation and Record Maintenance: Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to quality control activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 0.5-1 years of experience in fabrication quality supervision. IS Codes related to structural steel fabrication and welding. Welding standards, techniques (Arc/MIG/Submerged Arc), and defect identification. Fit-up and dimensional inspection tools. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and WPS. Proficient in MS Excel/Word for documentation and reporting.
