Coating Inspector

Job title : Inspection Engineer-Coating

Qualification : Diploma/ Science graduate/Paint technologist and AMPP/NACE Level-II

Experience : 10+ years

Location : Pune

To handle independently the overall inspection activities of Blasting and painting of Boiler structural and associated equipment. Detail experience shall be as

1. He shall be conversant with all the Inspection and testing in blasting, painting, and Hot dip galanizing.

Abrasive Blasting - surface profile, Dust test, Salt contamination test, measurement of climatic conditions - Relative Humidity, Dew point, substrate temperature, coating material - Batch test, shelf life, mixing ratio, pot life, final coating inspection - DFT Measurement, Holiday testing, Pull-off adhesion testing, X-Cut Adhesion, Cross hatch adhesion testing, RAL Shade matching.

2. He shall use different Types of DFT Meter (Digital & Analog), Took Gauge, Salt Contamination Kit (SCM 400, Electro Tester 11++, CSN Kit, Kentator, VIS-1,2 & 3, 4, High & Low Voltage, Adhesion Pull off Gauge (Mechanical & Hydraulic)

3. He Shall be aware of International Standard- ASTM, NACE, SSPC, ISO STANDARDS

4. He Shall be aware of project specifications reading and selection of Coating system as per ISO 12944 Corrosion Category and as per project requirements.

5. He shall be Involved in various paint application like Inorganic coating, Epoxy Coating, Polyurethane, Metalizing with (Zn & Al) Coating.

6. He shall Review tender specification, Preparation of coating application procedures.

7. He shall read and understand project specification requirement, clarification of doubts with contractors, painters, blasters before start of application, Supervising Coating Inspectors, Monitor applicator Qualification, as per ASTM D4228

8. He shall be Responsible for Supplier assessment, Development, Audits.

9. He shall be responsible for overall quality compliance to inspection & test plans, painting specification, painting system, codes, and standards

10. He shall liaison with Third party inspectors, customers
