As the lead full-stack developer for the algorithmic trading platform, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the end-to-end development of the minimum viable product (MVP). You will be tasked with leveraging existing code libraries, APIs, and tools to expedite the build process while ensuring high quality standards are maintained. Additionally, you will need to effectively integrate broker APIs, data feeds, and risk management modules into the platform. One of your key duties will be to establish a scalable and secure infrastructure that can accommodate future integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) technologies. Your hands-on experience in developing and deploying comprehensive web platforms, particularly in the fintech, trading, or software as a service (SaaS) industries, will be crucial for this role. Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, as well as back-end technologies like Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or similar, is essential. You should also possess a strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, API development and integration, and basic DevOps practices using tools like AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Previous experience with financial APIs, market data feeds, or broker integration will be advantageous. The ability to work independently under tight deadlines with a focus on delivering the MVP first is a key requirement for this position. You should be comfortable utilizing prebuilt modules, open-source tools, or AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate the development process. An interest or background in capital markets, trading systems, or portfolio analytics is highly desirable. In addition, you should possess a strong product thinking ability, enabling you to translate core business logic into a scalable architecture.
