CNC Wirecut Programmer

Job Description

Job Title: CNC Wirecut Machine Operator Department: Production / Tool Room Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Tool Room Head Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC Wirecut (EDM) machines as per job order and process sheet. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files for accurate machining. Prepare, set up, and install wire, workpieces, fixtures, and other machine accessories. Select proper cutting tools, electrodes, and parameters based on material and job requirements. Monitor machine operation during cutting to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality surface finish. Make necessary adjustments to program parameters to achieve the desired output. Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc. Maintain logbooks and production records of machine output, problems, and corrective actions taken. Follow safety standards and machine maintenance procedures to ensure safe and smooth operation. Report machine malfunctions or deviations to the supervisor for corrective action. Assist in minor preventive maintenance activities like wire changing, coolant checking, and machine cleaning. Key Skills & Competencies: Basic knowledge of CNC Wirecut (EDM) machine operations. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measuring instruments. Understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and material behavior. Problem-solving skills for machine setting and operational issues. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Educational Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical, or relevant field. Experience Required: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in CNC Wirecut Machine Operation preferred.
