The Role

Operate and set up CNC machines to deliver precise components as per drawings, maintaining safety, quality, and takt-time targets.

Key Responsibilities-

• Read drawings/job cards; verify material, program revision, and required tooling/inserts.
  • Set up chuck/collet/soft jaws; touch off tools; set work/tool offsets; dry-run and obtain first-piece approval with QC. • Run production cycles; monitor chip control, surface finish, and tool wear; optimize feeds/speeds/DOC within approved limits. • Measure critical dimensions (vernier, micrometer, bore/height/thread gauges); log readings (SPC) and correct via offsets/escalate tool change. • Follow EHS/PPE/LOTO; maintain 5S; perform daily checks (coolant, lubrication, hydraulics, air) and report any alarms/abnormalities. • Complete production logs, tool-life and rejection/rework tags; hand over clearly at shift change (pending jobs, tool status, cautions).

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills-

• Experience:

  Minimum 1 year in CNC Operating (Turning) within a manufacturing setup. •

  Education (any one):

  10th/12th pass,

  ITI (Machinist/Turner)

  ,

  IGTR/MSME Tool Room

  certification,

  Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

  . •

  Technical:

  Drawing reading; CNC tool/work offsets; basic G/M codes (Fanuc/Siemens preferred); measurement tools proficiency; understanding of tolerances/surface finish. •

  Work Mode:

  Ready for rotational shifts; disciplined documentation and safety mindset.
