CNC Setter/Operator

Job Title: CNC Operator and Setter – CNC Lathe (Fanuc & Siemens) Company: Uttam Mechanical Works Location: Ludhiana, Punjab Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: Uttam Mechanical Works is looking for a skilled CNC Operator and Setter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and setting CNC Lathe machines with Fanuc and Siemens controllers. You will be responsible for machine setup, tool changes, running production, and maintaining part quality. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines with Fanuc and Siemens controls. Load programs, set tooling, and adjust offsets as needed. Interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions. Inspect parts using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges, etc.). Perform routine maintenance and report machine issues. Ensure consistent production quality and follow safety protocols. Requirements: Minimum 6 months of experience as a CNC Lathe Operator/Setter. Proficiency with Fanuc and Siemens controllers. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Familiarity with basic inspection and measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Experience in a job-shop or component manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of CNC programming is a plus.
