Department: Production / Manufacturing Reports To: Production Supervisor / CNC Programmer The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning on metal components. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of machining and tooling processes. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe, milling, grinding, etc.) according to production drawings and specifications. Load raw materials into machines and monitor machine operation. Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications and ensure proper operation. Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files. Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as required. Perform routine maintenance on machines and report major issues to maintenance or supervisor. Maintain accurate production records and logs. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members for continuous improvement.
